At Vogue Performing Arts, we believe dance is for everyone — a place to learn, grow, and shine with confidence. Our classes are designed to nurture creativity, build strong technique, and inspire a lifelong love of movement, no matter your age or experience.
BALLET
Ballet is the heart of all dance — it builds strength, grace, and beautiful technique that supports every other style. At VPA, we follow the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus, providing structured, high-quality training that encourages discipline, musicality, and expression.
Students also have the opportunity to take RAD examinations, which not only mark their progress but can even earn UCAS points at higher levels — a wonderful achievement for dedicated young dancers.
TAP
Tap is full of rhythm, energy, and fun! Dancers learn to use their feet like instruments — developing timing, coordination, and a strong sense of musicality. We follow the VPA Tap Syllabus, which encourages clear technique, creativity, and confidence through engaging exercises and routines.
Students can also take part in VPA assessments and exams, where their hard work is rewarded with certificates and medals to celebrate their progress and achievements.
Modern
Modern dance combines strength, style, and expression — helping dancers build versatility, confidence, and performance quality. Classes include travelling steps, turns, leaps, and expressive movement, all taught in a fun and supportive environment.
At Vogue Performing Arts, we follow the ISTD Modern Theatre Syllabus, providing structured training that develops strong technique, flexibility, and artistry. Students also have the opportunity to take ISTD examinations, gaining recognition for their progress and dedication as they advance through the grades.
COMMERCIAL/
STREET
DANCE
Commercial and Street Dance are all about confidence, creativity, and performance! Inspired by music videos and stage choreography, this class blends styles such as hip-hop, street, and pop — giving dancers the chance to explore their individuality and perform with energy and style.
At Vogue Performing Arts, we focus on building performance skills, rhythm, and stage presence while keeping classes fun and empowering. Dancers work towards VPA certificates and medals, celebrating progress and personal growth as they gain confidence and flair both in and out of the studio.
ACRO
Our Acro classes combine dance and gymnastic movement, helping students build strength, flexibility, control and confidence. At Vogue Performing Arts we follow the Acrotrix syllabus — a structured, progressive programme where every trick, balance and tumbling skill is part of a clear path of achievement.
Dancers work through graded levels with specific skills to master, and at each stage they’re celebrated with certificates and medals to mark their progress and success. The Acrotrix method ensures safety, high standards and measurable goals, making this class perfect for anyone wanting to push their body beyond the basics in a fun, supportive environment.
STRETCH + FLEX
/PBT
Our Stretch & Flex / Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) classes focus on building the strength, flexibility, and body awareness that every dancer needs to reach their full potential. Using specialised exercises, resistance equipment, and ballet-based conditioning, dancers learn how to move safely and effectively while improving posture, alignment, and control.
This class helps develop key muscles used in all styles of dance — enhancing turnout, balance, and overall technique. Each student works at their own pace, celebrating personal progress and physical milestones along the way.
Designed to complement all other genres, Stretch & Flex / PBT gives dancers the tools to feel stronger, move better, and dance with confidence.
ADULT BALLET
Our Adult Ballet classes offer a welcoming and encouraging space for dancers of all levels — whether you’re returning to the barre after years away or discovering ballet for the first time.
Each class focuses on improving posture, strength, coordination, and flexibility through beautiful, expressive movement. You’ll learn traditional ballet technique in a relaxed and supportive environment, without pressure — just the joy of moving, learning, and feeling graceful.
Ballet is not only wonderful for fitness and mobility, but also for mindfulness and confidence — making it the perfect midweek escape.
PRIVATE COACHING
Our Private Coaching sessions are available in all genres, offering dancers the chance to receive fully personalised training and one-to-one support. Whether you’re preparing for exams, auditions, competitions, or simply want to build confidence and refine your technique, each session is tailored to your individual goals.
Private lessons can cover Ballet, Tap, Modern, Commercial, Acro, Stretch & Flex, or any combination of styles — providing focused guidance, expert corrections, and meaningful progress at your own pace.
